This fanfic is loosely based on this interaction between Carrie (Frog) and Bo (Bandit) in the movie Smokey and the Bandit (1977): Carrie: Don't you take that hat off for anything? Bandit: Sure. I take it off for one thing, and one thing only. Carrie: If we were lost on a desert island together... Bandit: Yes? Carrie: Do you think we'd get along and talk and... things? Bandit: Sure. Yeah, we'd get along. It'd never be boring, I can tell you that. It would never be boring. Carrie: Take your hat off… If you want to. Bandit: I want to. OR Where Jed implies he only takes his hat off for sex so Octavius quickly finds a place to get Jed to take his hat off for him.
