Fics like There you are, welcome back

They weren’t supposed to grow this close. L’s not supposed to be his best friend, he shouldn’t have become this important and now Light has to kill him, because there’s no other way for his plans to move forward, no other way for him to get everything he wants. But at this point how could any of it even be what he wants if L has to be dead for him to get it? If Light has to be the one who kills him? A little bathtub hurt/comfort set after Light gets his memories back and has to come to terms with having to kill the one person who truly sees him enough to have always seen all of him.
