Fics like standing by you; holding on

Wei Wuxian's betrothal came far later in life than Jiang Yanli's had. He'd been almost fourteen before Uncle Jiang had sat him down and told him they were arranging a future marriage for him—a husband, not a wife, and that he'd be the one to become part of his husband's sect, instead of the reverse. He'd been told it was very important that the arrangement works out - for the sake of the Jiang sect. Upon meeting Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian is determined to be on his best behavior to make their betrothal work - a determination that immediately buckles under the sheer pleasure of messing with Lan Wangji. Before he even realises, Wei Wuxian is in deep... until he ruins it all by screwing up Jiang Yanli's betrothal, and Madam Yu decides she knows the perfect way for him to make it right...
