Fics like The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down

Anakin and Padme’s relationship is revealed to the universe leading to Anakin getting expelled from the Jedi order at the same time as Padme lost her seat in the Senate for her conflict of interest. They return to Naboo with only Obi-Wan, Ahsoka and a few of the clones still visiting them. All their accomplishments and sacrifices for the galaxy forgotten and ignored. Years later they learn of Palpatine’s plan for the Jedi in time to stop him but… it seems to be about time for corrupt Senate and Jedi order to fall as long as they can keep the ones closest to them safe. All hail Empress Amidala, may her reign be more peaceful than the last one. Obi-Wan has no choice but to sit in the gilded cage build just to keep him safe and see his world crumble around him.
