Fics like Shash

Stormlight healing works off of self-image, restoring a Radiant to their “rightful state.” Which means that Kaladin’s slave brands don’t heal because views them as part of himself. But that’s the thing. Kaladin’s never viewed himself as a slave, not entirely. He resisted the slave mentality, kept fighting, refused to bow to lighteyes. He’s been a bridgeman, a wretch, a soldier, a surgeon—but “slave” was never a label he accepted. There is another brand, though. Shash. Dangerous. Written for CFSWF 2014
