Fics like Nature's Balance (Humanity's Arrogance)

Tommy doesn't know why these humans have kidnapped him, but it can't be for anything good. There's no reasoning with humans. They're cruel and confusing and chatter in incomprehensible tones. Tommy doesn't know what they want with him. He doesn't know that the ice caps far in the north have been melting. Nor does he know that they've thawed out something that was never meant to be thawed. Tommy doesn't know any of this. He just wants these humans to let him go.
