Fics like Old Habits Die Hard

An old work of mine from a different fandom than I'm used too! The knives. They were gone. Where, fuck, where are they?! I felt myself beginning to panic. They were here this morning, where could I have put them? “So it’s true.” Alfred- America- is considered the most egotistical, prideful, happy country in the UN to many of it's members. But isn't there a saying that the happiest on the outside are just taped up into a figure and broken on the inside? After everything he has been through, America can't bring himself to admit that he's struggling, because he isn't supposed to struggle. Or that's what he's told. To him, this is the only way to punish himself for what he has done in the past- though all that tape holding him together? It's just about to break. And people are starting to notice.
