To bring the souls of the four heroes into Melromarc from another world, something else must be lost. Naofumi and the three other heroes find themselves in a new world, their souls placed in bodies that weren't their own. The Spear, Bow, and Sword have all received the bodies of young noblemen, second and third sons of eloquent families having given up their own lives for their heroes.
