Fics like domestic life (was never quite my style).

He stands at the entrance for a moment, staring in pure astonishment. Phil has, in fact, burned the food. Not only that, he's somehow managed to burn the ingredients that are on the counter, too. There's charred carrots, black cauliflower, shriveled lettuce-- it's a mess. Techno is pacing the kitchen, talking on the phone, and Tommy vaguely registers the words "pepperoni" and "extra sauce." In a desperate attempt to dissipate the grey clouds rolling from the oven, Phil has cracked open a window, which is letting in uncomfortably cold wind. It somehow pushes the smoke further into the kitchen, blowing it closer and closer to Tommy's face. Tommy watches for just a second, and then conclusively spins on his heel and walks back into the living room. -- SBI movie night; featuring Phil's inept attempt at cooking, Tommy's frequent naps, Wilbur trying to watch his documentary, and Techno having a pretty fun time.
