Fics like Sworn Partners

Ever since Meta Knight was rescued from Nightmare’s clutches, the concept of soulmates had been familiar to him. Most, if not all of the soldiers at the garrison had soulmates. Some had already met their soulmates, and left them behind to fight Nightmare’s forces. Some met their soulmates while fighting. Some wouldn’t meet their soulmates for years, decades, centuries- and some would never have one at all. If he was completely honest, Meta didn’t care if he had a soulmate or not. He didn’t think he deserved one, anyways. --- In Dedede’s opinion, soulmates were rubbish. Everyone had one person who was supposedly their ‘other half’? He had to laugh. That stuff only existed in fairy tales. But despite his opinions on the matter, he woke up on his 16th birthday with a timer and a declaration of a coup on his wrist. Of course.
