Fics like Wild Rabbits, Barley Soup, and War-Torn Towns

Amestris is known for its leader’s love of warmongering, yet the war in Ishval left behind a dark and ugly stain on the soul of the country. Lieutenant Colonel Roy Mustang is determined to do whatever it takes to get rid of that mark, right the wrongs of the past, and transform this government into one that works for the people. Not against. With this single-minded drive and purpose, he trekked out to some backwater town called 'Resembool' to search for two terrorists and local alchemists known as the Brothers Elric. Intel has informed him that the Brothers aided and abetted the bombing of Resembool’s train station, leaving many civilians dead. He finds them. But they aren't anything like he expected. [Or, How Two Orphans and a Poor Attempt to Butcher a Rabbit Awakened Roy Mustang's Deep-Seated Parental Desires Leading to him Going off the Rails, Burning Down a House, Committing Treason, and Not Telling Riza Hawkeye Any of this.]
