Fics like Phantom Limb

What does it mean to be a Hunter? To feel desire, yes, but also a dissatisfaction. To feel an emptiness so deep, that you leave everything else behind. All abandoned for one moment of feeling. One moment of having something. Be it an undiscovered ruin. A jewel. A bite of food. So let me tell you a story about what Hunters really are. About a type of human want that burns away all else. About a yearning for beauty so intense, that nothing can escape it. The truth is, Hunters are no different from us. We take anything, and we won’t let anyone take anything from us. [A kid returns home to Meteor City, only to find it empty of people she knows. Haunted by missing memories and visions of a nightmare world, she fights to take back what she lost.] (Not a self-insert / Non-SI OC)
