This was too familiar, he knew he had experienced this before, and he hated it. He didn't listen to the Narrator's excessive rambles to annoy him into pushing the button, and instead sat down, tears forming. "Here, we'll just pretend that I've just begun an interminable monolog-- Stanley?" The disembodied voice had softened, and Stanley found himself focusing on it. OR, The author hates this ending- because of how terrifying/ sad it is- and rewrites it to be more nicer.
