Fics like Just Try

Lady Danbury cocked her head and pursed her lips. “Three dances.” “What?” “You will dance with at least 3 gentlemen of my choosing and you will try to keep from hovering over Edwina. You are not her mama.” “I do not think there will be 3 gentlemen willing to dance with me.” Kate bit her lip. “I have always been a bit of a wallflower.” “So was I, once.” Lady Danbury rejoiced at the look of surprise on Kate’s face. “I don’t think that I’ve ever met a lady so arrogant and insecure at the same time. You will get a horse in the morning and in return you will dance with at least 3 gentlemen and try.” *** A retelling of The Viscount Who Loved Me, a blend of the show, the book and a sprinkle of my own plot. Feedback welcome
