Fics like Eyes of a Dishonest Man

"Heavy boots matted with mud hit the wooden floor and when the door swings open fully a cold wind rushes into the saloon. It’s not even cold outside, yet it’s as if the man brings Winter itself with him. Icy blue eyes meet his. They’re so blue they almost look unreal. Reki is forcefully reminded of an electric discharge - specifically the one that almost ended his life as a boy. A fickle thing, electricity. Untrustworthy. Perhaps that is why he’s suddenly filled with uncertainty. Or maybe it’s because the man seems to refuse to look away from him." Summary: Reki works as a Blackjack dealer in the little town of Crazy Rock. While his life didn't turn out as intended, he's content - he can support his family, is surrounded by good friends, and enjoys his job far more than the farmer's life he was supposed to inherit. When a stranger dares to swindle Reki at his own game, everything changes. Meeting the bewildering "Snow" not only shakes the ground Reki stands on - it uproots old secrets that will cause tremors throughout the entire town. It's the start of a romance that will change lives - and that risks ending them.
