Fics like There When It Counts

Jay's undercover case ends up putting his brother at risk. After his identity is exposed, his brother ends up as collateral. Everybody is angsty and Jay has to make some tough choices. Your classic Will kidnapped/Jay goes into protective crazy mode. All the brother love they never give us in the show. --- He pulled three things from inside, all of which made his blood go cold and immediately sent him into a silent panic. The first was a burner phone. The second, a surveillance picture that had been taken during one of his follow-up meetings with Voight after the last undercover op. and it had the word pig written across his face in scratchy letters. The third - and the worst of all - was a hospital ID covered in blood; an ID that pictured his brother's face. Not meeting his team's eyes, Jay choked out, "They have Will."
