Fics like aperture

Small two-part ficlet featuring Bucky tending Sam's wounds, then Sam tending Bucky's. Also Sam has real wings in this, they are brown. ~Excerpt~ Sam shifts as he feels the cold intrusive metal of tweezers being stuck underneath his plumage. The piece of shrapnel lodged there — one of several dozen — is pricking straight into his flesh, and the pain of the injury spirals up his wings, into his shoulders, and down to his chest. Leaning his head back, he closes his eyes, focuses on Bucky’s words. “These aren’t tech.” Bucky dislodges another piece, places it gently in a jar with a cotton swab at the bottom. “You can’t just dive in expecting them to come out unscathed.”
