Fics like waiting for the rain

After his aunt and uncle were murdered Peter was put into foster care. Too many neglecting and abusive homes later he runs to live on the street. He knows he is smart and will make it work. And he did. Successfully for over a year now. In all this time he did the thing he never wanted to do again, he let people in. Even though he loves his friends he doesn’t tell them who he is under the mask. They know Spider-Man and that is more than enough. Because he knows they wouldn’t want a fifteen year old homeless teenager with trauma piled to the moon in their lives. So the mask stays on. What if that fact changes though?
