Fics like give me some time (to give you everything I have)

"Seven can think all of these things, feel all of these things, hold the cynicism so close that she can touch it, feel the barrier it makes between her and people who just want to connect with her. And then she can look at Raffi sometimes, like she is now, and suddenly there’s so much space between her and all of it – Raffi, who doesn’t wear her trauma as explicitly on her body as Seven does but still somehow lives with her heart on the outside of her body and has never, ever seen that as a weakness." (Or, Seven and Raffi get their dance, Cris and Tallinn attempt stargazing from Earth, Seven and Raffi navigate connection with Seven's human body, Raffi seeks out respite in the middle of it all, and Tallinn cold reads the whole group for their Starbucks orders.)
