Fics like courage is fire, but so is cowardice.

Usopp takes Luffy’s hands and everything feels so right. Luffy is a Sky, and his warmth binds them together so perfectly, Usopp doesn't know anything else. He gets on his knees. The ring in his palm erupts into bright purple, but he knows no one can see it except him. But he kneels, and prays-- and vows. “I swear my life to you, my Sky, I swear by name as a Guardian,” he says, “to be the Cloud that cannot be bound. To protect the family from where I stand.”
