Six months have passed since the desperate battle against Adam. Meanwhile, in the heart of Resistance HQ, Rook attempts to balance a heavy workload managing his Club while secretly keeping tabs on the Resistance Council, knowing that the war has become little more than a pretense to them. He must watch his steps closely, and his supposed allies even closer, for even a hint of disloyalty could spell death and doom for him and everyone he cares for. And through it all, Adam prepares his attack on the walls of Resistance HQ, ready and willing to either summon great evil from beyond the veil of reality... or become that evil himself.
