Fics like Wilbur's Guide to Retiring with Style

Maestro is a top hero in L’Manberg. He’s well respected and a force to be reckoned with, especially with the rest of his team next to him. “Courteous”, “charismatic”, and “charming” are just a few of the words reporters have used to describe the hero. Wilbur, well, he was just the asshole who played him. Don’t get him wrong, Wilbur likes the gig he’s got. But he knows he can do more good for the world, by joining politics and writing legislation, rather then adorning flashy suits and punching criminals. But he can’t just retire from hero work and leave his team down a man and without the only person capable of fighting Dream’s powers of manipulation. Luckily, the phrase “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain,” might be just the solution he needs.
