Fics like The Forgotten

Everyone knows about Andre, Jamal, and Hakeem Lyon. Not many are privy to their sister, Nevaeh Reign Lyon. Since she was Jamal's twin, she was six years old when her mother was taken from the family. As the years went by Nevaeh wanted to break into the music business and Jamal wanted to live his life openly as a gay man, but with a psycho-controlling father like Lucious, that was impossible. So to save their sanity, the twins packed their belongings and left New York at the age of 18. They left a pack of letters addressed to their father and brothers clearly stating they were never coming back. Fast forward 7 years later, Jamal and Nevaeh are preparing to release their debut albums when their mother, Cookie is released from prison early. With Mama Lyon's return shaking up the Empire, dark secrets and the real reasons behind the twins' departure from the Big Apple will either bring the family together or burn down the Empire...
