Fics like You are not alone

When Dick opened the door, Wally wasn't in front of him. In front of him was Tim. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, too big to be his, and he looked utterly devastated as if he hadn't slept in days. Dick wanted to scream at him in full overprotective older brother mode. He did not: relief prevailed. Was it bad to be happy that one brother hadn't returned for another's sake? He didn't want to dwell on that thought. "Hi, Dick," the thirteen-year-old began timidly, putting a hand behind his neck, shyer than Dick had ever seen him. Something rang in his mind, a kind of alarm. It was an instinct honed for years with Bruce, and it had never betrayed him until now. “God, Tim. We were all worried about you. " "I know, I ... I'm sorry, if I could, I would have contacted Bruce." "What happened? Has Ra's sent someone to you? Talia? Selina? Or ... Tim, please look at me. I don't feel comfortable in ... " Tim refused to raise his head and backed away. As he did so, the hood slipped, revealing a purplish bruise on his throat.
