Fics like heartworm.EXE (Inscryption)

heartworm "n. a relationship or friendship that you can’t get out of your head, which you thought had faded long ago but is still somehow alive and unfinished, like an abandoned campsite whose smoldering embers still have the power to start a forest fire." You can't remember much about the time Leshy was in control of Inscryption, and you remember even less about the world before. Despite this, as you are just inches away from completing your Challenge to replace a Scrybe, there's a nagging sensation that perhaps this isn't the path you are meant to follow, that there's something better for you. That there is a better answer to the endless infighting of the Scrybes. You know you can find a way to stop it. You know there's an answer somewhere in the Old_Data. Perhaps someone who's come into contact with it can help, someone who knows what its like to be trapped in the body of a stoat, and the paper of a card. The difficult part comes when the aforementioned stoat remembers you sacrificed him. ---------- (This is my first x reader fic so be nice aaaaa) (Tags and pairings might change later too)
