Fics like sacrificial fragments

”I wonder if I have anything to my name that isn’t stolen or eroded away.” “This temple,” the Traveler says, “is to you, is it not?” Venti shakes his head. “It was built for Time and Wind.” The Traveler blinks. “They omitted her name?” “No.” He sounds too much like a bard sitting in the hands of a statue with a bottle of cider. “They forgot it.” Erosion terrifies the heavens, but the Anemo Archon is unworried. After all, time is a typhoon comprised of swirling winds. That said, even the wind isn’t free from time. They may claim to change direction, but they’ll always return to one. (Or: Venti, Aether, and the shackles of freedom.)
