Fics like The course of true love never did run smooth

Blackbeard finds some interesting underlined sentences and notes in Stede's books. Who is the co-captain deeply in love with? Why are the crew holding a secret betting contest that he isn't allowed to know about? Blackbeard hates secrets. Almost as much as Stede's secret paramour. ---- “Then look at the pictures,” Stede snapped, a look of horror appearing on his face a moment later. Blackbeard guffawed. He loved it when Stede had enough of his bullshit. Made him all…tingly and happy. “If there’s no pretty naked people, I’m coming back and starting a fight,” Blackbeard warned, turning tail for the captain’s cabin. “Oh, so the same thing you’ve been trying to do all day?” Stede muttered, but not quietly enough. Blackbeard flipped him off as he swaggered into the room.
