Fics like We Passed This Way Before

Kathryn Janeway is now an admiral a month after returning home, and is still navigating the bureaucratic waters of starfleet. She’s approached to serve as a consultant and trainer on the first planned mission to the Delta Quadrant, which is just in its beginning stages. She’s not expecting the young, charismatic captain of the mission, who brings back a ghost from her past in ways for which she is completely unprepared. Slowly, she remembers the person that she used to be, the person that she wants to be, and she finds herself caught between the man who had her heart for seven years, and this man, who tells her he wants to have her heart forever.
