Fics like All Roads Lead To Austin-The Art of Kintsugi

What if? You turned left instead of right. What if? You left instead of stayed? What if Sylvie divorced Casey instead of gutting out the disintegrating long distance relationship? What if Buck ran from his losses in LA, heading to his friends in Austin? What if they find love unexpectedly despite their pasts? Owen has always had the knack of bringing together broken people and making them whole. It's like the Japanese art of Kintsugi. A beautiful piece of pottery breaks and they mend it lacquer mixed with powdered gold. Still broken, but the repair emphasizes the imperfections, the history, that the piece appears even more beautiful. "Your broken places make you stronger and better than before." Inspired by WritersBlock039 and her story 'Danger Zone'. Go read-it's awesome. My actual knowledge of firehouses, police procedure etc. is of the fanfic variety. ~Kinda~ follows canon.
