Fics like Memories for when morning comes

Damian is sixteen, nearly seventeen, when Talia sends the Heretic to kill him. This shouldn't change anything but it does (it just doesn't change enough). -- Two weeks and three days before Damian is brutally murdered, he sits on the edge of a rooftop in Crime Alley with his brothers, sharing a bottle of champagne between the four of them. Richard has just told them that Barbara is expecting, that Richard is going to be a dad, so they’re celebrating. He feels content here, on the edge of a rooftop in the darkest part of Gotham, with his brothers' bickering voices around him. Damian is sixteen, nearly seventeen, and he thinks he has his whole life ahead of him.
