“Ren,” she says with a wavering voice. She coughs once to dispel the waver but Ren latches onto that vulnerability. He steps closer to her and her eyes widen when she finally looks up. “Gorya,” he murmurs. It is an invitation and Gorya, lonely Gorya with nobody but F4 in this school, takes it. “He scares me sometimes,” she whispers. Her hand wraps around her wrist again. “He loves you,” he says damningly. I love you. Ren and Thyme understand each other; they wouldn’t have been friends for this long without some degree of similarity to complement their differences in temperament.
