Fics like third time's the (charm)

Those red eyes that instead shine a penetrating, glittering gold. Mesmerizing. Tempting. Utterly and wholly charming. Stupid. And then—then he can’t move. He can only tremble in quiet fear. His thoughts move like syrup, thick and slow, through his mind. Vax knows he’s in trouble, knows it by the frantic rabbit beat of his heart, by the sweat dripping down his spine. A cold presence makes home behind him, shivery-soft words pressed against his ear, lips smirking. Sylas Briarwood. Professor Anders. Sylas Briarwood...again. Vax might need to look into getting a Ring of Protection for the +1 on saving throws. (Otherwise known as: Vax gets mind controlled 3 times over the course of season 1 and I could not resist making them whumpier & a little bit angsty. Here we go!)
