Fics like The Chains We Forge

Judy’s birthday is coming up, and Will has an idea for a present and enlists Penny to help. But in typical Robinson fashion, nothing is easy, and a simple idea turns into a dangerous and traumatic series of events for the children and the other members of the Jupiter 2 party. This is a slight re-imagining of the S2 episode, “The Prisoners of Space,” only a "touch" darker. And Dr. Smith’s backstory gets a little more complicated. This story was inspired by a comment a fellow reader/writer made on the series I wrote, “Return to a Hostile Planet.” I’ll acknowledge that comment in notes when I post those chapters so I won’t spoil what happens here. This picks up a couple months after the events in that previous series. It’s a stand alone story, and there will be a summary in the first chapter and references to that series throughout, so if you haven’t read it, you shouldn’t miss much. Though, if this inspires you to go back and read that series, there will be a lot of spoilers in this.
