Fics like Some Things To Work On

In "Hitting the Wall," Mike Stoker mentions to Roy that he's also worked with "the department shrink." What happened to Stoker to send him there? Helpful but not necessary to read "HTW" first. Mostly, though, this work is a tag to S04e06 Surprise. When someone is badly injured in the line of duty, it doesn't just affect that person. As always: Disclaimer: The show doesn’t belong to me. I just take the characters out for a spin, profit-free, and put ‘em back how I found ‘em. More or less. As always, if actors let the producers use their real names as their character names, I am writing about the characters and not the actors.
