Fics like RECOMPOSƎ - completed massive Halo 5 fix-it-fic

COMPLETED - POST H4/H5 FIX - A year and a few months after Cortana's demise, John returns to active duty. Even if her absence tore a hole in his very soul, he kept moving non-stop, running away from the memories of her death. Everything changes when a mysterious human female is captured trying to avoid the UNSC Infinity's security, a woman whose features, voice and wits are the same as the Cortana he once knew in digital form. She returned because her will to protect her Spartan was stronger than anything. She once was his shield and sword, but now she's fragile and desperate; Cortana isn't the only one who avoided death. Something else is coming after him. John neutralized the Didact and now he faces a greater threat: the sins of his past. His greatest sin was to let Cortana find a way beneath his skin and become his weakness. John-117 is the target, but he's not the only one in danger. The universe just became a far more dangerous place to live in. - BIG PLOT MCxC slow-burn - Human!Cortana vs Rampant!Cortana WARNINGS FOR VIOLENCE AND ADULT THEMES
