Fics like of course i planned all of this (i totally didn't, but will you still say yes?)

It’s almost too easy. He would just have to get back up the ladder and retrieve the small maroon box hidden in a chest beneath his bed. The ring had been done for days, gold and copper woven together tightly with an emerald sitting on top. It’s beautiful, and Scar knows Grian would like it. The moment is perfect. He feels warm and Grian is trembling softly against him. It’s just them, together, so close. All he has to do is get the ring. He hesitates. Jellie scratches Scar’s leg. Grian starts laughing as Scar groans against him in pain, all while Jellie whines for attention, already drawing back her paw for another attack. Tomorrow, Scar thinks. Tomorrow. Or, five times Scar thinks about proposing to Grian and the one time actually does.
