Fics like Watson's War
December 2023: I've updated the summary, not the fic. The original summary was kind of confusing. Hopefully, this will be more helpful in deciding if this is worth a read! *** Written for a prompt on the Kink Meme that read, in part: Any situation where John performs some serious surgery on Sherlock, on his own. Platonic johnlock or pre-relationship is preferable. When Sherlock suffers the after-effects of a case-related injury, it falls to John and Lestrade to perform "field surgery" under less than ideal conditions. Fic named in homage to "Mulcahy's War" from MASH. Rated T for mild language, mentions of blood, and medical procedures.
