Fics like Proof of Life: The Theft and Ransom of a Malta Caravaggio and the Story of Paul and Rachel

(57/0/0) (21)There are actually three Caravaggios in Malta. One is disputed. Two are displayed in a special museum in Valletta. I have imagined a 4th one, Magdalene Wiping Christ feet with her hair. The 4th (imaginary) Malta, Caravaggio would be large, four by five feet and it would hang in the St John the Baptist Co Cathedral. Til it is stolen and held for ransom. (See John 12:1-8) After Jo’s kidnapping, she goes to Malta with Iz to recover. While she is there, Dr Rachel Levan calls to see how Jo is doing. Iz invites Rachel to visit the villa for a few days. While Dr Levan is visiting the villa, Iz learns the Magdalene Caravaggio has been stolen, a guard killed, and a $200,000,000 ransom is being demanded for return of the painting. Iz (Dom Chiaramonte) is a donor to the museum and a board member. Iz persuades Terry to consider taking on the negotiation to get the Caravaggio back. And Iz invites Terry to stay at the villa. Terry agrees. Iz invites Alice. Dino says if Alice is going, he and Mac should go also. Iz says it would be his pleasure for them all to be his guests, though he says only Terry will likely be needed. Note : swan boat ride in Boston
