Siuan smirked a little. “Maybe.” She reached out to brush a lock of hair behind Moiraine’s ear, studying her face for a moment. “You have news.” Moiraine nodded, automatically reaching up to twine their fingers together. “Alanna arrived.” Siuan’s eyes widened. “With the children?” ----- Thirteen years after the Aiel War, Moiraine is now Queen of Cairhien and Siuan is the Amyrlin Seat. Still dedicated to their mission to find the Dragon Reborn, they've had to modify their methods a bit and enlist some help, intent on making the world ready for the Dragon Reborn once they find them. When Alanna shows up in Cairhien with a pack of children from a town that wasn't on the list, Moiraine isn't entirely sure what to do with them but also knows she can't turn them away.
