Fics like a gift is not a favor

The vision shifted, back to shouts and vague forms moving through the sand. Bruno couldn’t even identify who he was looking at or what he was hearing, other than the yelling and crying of his family. The voices blended together, the shouts shaking him to his core, sinking into his bones and threatening to tear him apart. Then, like thunder, Alma’s voice broke through. “Silence!” Or: a few months after Casita is rebuilt, something strange happens to the Madrigal family miracle. They wake up one morning to find that their Gifts have all been swapped around. What's the cause? Can they figure out how to make the miracle return to normal? Or will they be stuck with the wrong Gifts forever? This fic has been abandoned as of 4/21/25. The last chapter is a summary of the planned ending.
