Fourteen year old Hera Syndulla was well on her way to becoming a revolutionary in the steps of her father. When her first independent relief mission goes south due to bad intelligence, she found herself in the captivity of Moff Delian Mors who found that Hera's skill could be of use to the Empire in more than one way. Mors who had been afflicted with issues that Hera's father, Cham Syndulla rained upon her leadership, had finally found the one weakness in the invincible man's armor - his daughter. Hera graduates as one of the Empire's most promising pilots from Skystrike Academy on Montross. Made bitter by her parents abandoning her, years of hell and torment from her peers, and serving an Empire that she doesn't believe in, Hera finds herself in a precarious position after a deployment to Gorse under Captain Rae Sloane. Once upon a time been willing to stick her neck out to do good for others however she's had little inclination to do so since her involuntary conscription into the Empire. That is, until she meets a man named Kanan Jarrus. This fic is overall rated T. Any scenes of a sexual nature are clearly marked by a page break for easy skipping.
