Fics like Ratas Casita

25 years before the casita fell apart, a curious creature moved into the Madrigal home. Cursed by a witch, the woman-turned-rat is given one task: Find a family that accepts her, and that she accepts in return. Only then will the transformation be reversed. But she's been burned by family before, and there are worse things in life than being a rodent. Resigned to her fate, she convinces herself she's better off alone anyway - until she meets the man with sand in his hair and warmth in his eyes, and everything she thought she wanted suddenly pales in comparison to his awkward grins. Why can't a family be a man and his rat?
