"I want you to be my foster parent.” He says it like it's obvious. Like Bobby should have known this was coming- and maybe he did, but not today. Not so suddenly. Evan's words play in repeat for a long moment as Bobby collects his thoughts. He should have seen it coming, really, with how attached the younger boy seems to be to him. But the question still remains; Why Bobby? A part of him knows he can’t say no to Evan so easily. He’d learned that pretty quickly in the last few months of knowing the boy. Even still, he- he can’t do this. There’s just so much that could go wrong. Or A peek into Evan and Bobby's lives- from their first meeting when Evan is 14, until he becomes a firefighter at the 118, ten years later.
