Fics like Hold My Heart For Ransom

“You always told me never to comply with a kidnapper’s demands,” Merlin points out. “So why would you pay the ransom?” Arthur’s lips compress into a bloodless line. “They threatened to have you killed.” “An empty threat.” One they could never make good on, even if they tried. “I couldn’t risk it.” “But—” “Not over you.” Merlin is captured by bandits who mistake him for Prince Arthur's consort. They're not entirely wrong.
