Fics like the taste of sunlight

Banri Settsu is the noble heir to a large mining company. A rogue bloodstone causes a catastrophe in one of their largest mines, and Banri is sent in to deal with the problem. The bloodstone is unlike any other stone Banri has ever met and it piques his curiosity, so in lieu of destroying it he decides to keep it, bring it home, and train it to become his new bodyguard. Eventually, Banri comes to realize just what it is that makes his bloodstone so different from the rest, and his decisions will help to shape the course of the kingdom, for all living in it.
