Fics like The Greatest Gift

'She looks so much like Pedro.' That had been the first thought Alma had had when she held her youngest granddaughter for the first time. Mirabel was so much like Pedro that Alma had had high hopes for her, therefore when Mirabel didn't receive a gift; it had hurt far more than she expected. Why had the miracle not blessed the grandchild that was the most like Pedro? After Casita is rebuilt and the magic restored, Alma observes Mirabel far more closely than she had in a long time and realises that despite everything, one thing hadn't changed. Mirabel was so much like Pedro. Not just because she had his eyes but because of who she was as a person. Mirabel was special, not because of a gift, but because she was like the one who bestowed the gift upon them in the first place.
