Fics like Aral Vorkosigan, Colossus of Barrayaran Politics, Dies at 82

¡ESCOBAR NEWSFLASH! By António de Sousa 07.34.3012 Earth Standard SÃO PEDRO – Count Aral Vorkosigan, who served the Barrayaran Imperium over the last forty years as Admiral, Lord Regent, Prime Minister, and Viceroy, and who helped lead the failed Barrayaran invasion of Escobar a generation ago, passed away yesterday at his Imperial residence on Sergyar, according to an official statement from the Office of the Viceroy. He was eighty-two years old. The cause of death was listened as a sudden brain aneurysm. In her statement, the Vicereine Cordelia Naismith wrote: “Aral was a great man, in every sense of the word. He could not but give his all to everything, whether that was decades of service to the Imperium or our forty-year marriage. In all things, absolute loyalty was his watchword. All of Barrayar was enriched by his diligent service. His loss is an incalculable one.”
