In the early 1990s, humanity invented robotic dolls that could be mentally controlled by the human brain. These were the "Angels," their human players, the "Deus". In the 2000s, after the success of the Angelic Layer, persocoms were put into production. With their variety of sizes and uses, they served humanity in any way possible. It was these persocoms- and the legendary Chobits- that would inspire for years to come. It is now 11945. YoRHA has been established after humanity...escaped to the moon. The war against the aliens' machines continue. Unit 2B and 9S are frontline players in this part of the war...but when 9S' scanners pick up something not previously found before, it will change the course of history. Of that, there is no doubt.
