Fics like Heavy is the head that wears the crown (and the hand that wields the sword)

Jin is a Gwacheon omega, trained in multiple weapons, expert on many subjects and general of the royal Gwacheon military. However, when he arrives at Ilsan to be mated to the love of his life, King Kim Namjoon, he finds that the concubines are not as welcoming as he had thought. When Namjoon goes away for a trip, the concubines make their move. It's now up to Jin to make sure he survives. Even if that means spilling blood. Alternatively: "Apparently, Jin can't get mated in peace."
