There’s a brief moment of silence, of recognition, of oh shit oh fuck, before Frank says, “Gerard, hey. He’s halfway home before he realizes that not only is he the biggest idiot to ever walk the earth, but he also didn’t even get his fucking toothpaste. - following a breakup, gerard goes home for the holidays for the first time in years to spend time with his brother's family. over the holiday weekend, he has to face the reality that a relationship that ended ten years ago still has a chokehold on him, and that maybe there's a reason why he can't completely let go of what could have been. based on 'tis the damn season by taylor swift.
